I love this school! We get to do awesome projects, such as technology, oceanolgy, and more! Some of the teachers ARE mean, but the school is fine in general
Being a graduate of Two Rivers Magnet Middle School, I have experienced all the positives and negatives of being a student there. Starting with positives, there are some amazing administrators and some of the best teachers I've seen in my entire education experience. There are very niche classes such as hydroponics or environmental ethics for people who want to start their education in a perticular scientific field. There are amazing field trip experiences, mainly the 8th grade trip to DC where you go see the various museums and memorials which is an experience of a lifetime. Of course, nothing is perfect and Two Rivers has it's flaws. Just as there are good teachers there are bad. On average with my experience for every one amazing teacher there are two or three bad ones. These range in lacking qualification to teach to just making up reasons to mark your child low at the beginning of the year so at the end there is "improvement." The social life is terrible, as a majority of the students don't want to be there and lots of bullying goes unchecked. A student threatened to kill me in 7th grade and it took close to 2 months to expell them. Many students don't even get punished. Although there are certain classes with great curriculum, others just repeat stuff year after year such as 8th grade science which is essentially a review of 6th and 7th. I often got punished for talking out while other students were cursing or on inappropriate websites. The teachers punish the good kids because the bad kids don't care if they get punished. Although there were many benefits to my three years there, overall if I could tell my fifth grade self I would tell him to choose a different school.
im glad i came to this school i learned new things and it helped me come out my shell i used to be a bad girl who used to fight everyone and get in trouble a lot and get bad grades now im a good student and im nice and cool with everyone and rarely fight only if i need to but still i get all good grades and i behave this school changed me for the better.
I never ever never go back to this school because of the quality and how this school rules does not make any sense. M d fox is so much better at least you do thing you cant get help on. No matter what it is, this school can help you with your problems.
There are some teachers who are nice but I honestly can't wait to leave this school. It is the worst school I have ever been to. Most teachers don't d anything except yell and blame the students for every single problem
